Background
The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) is a nonprofit association that leads the scientific, technical, and regulatory advancement of the pharmaceutical lifecycle and improves its members’ knowledge through forums.
The Challenge
ISPE wanted to provide a consistent and informative membership magazine, Pharmaceutical Engineering. When the magazine’s production editor was tasked with leading the magazine, she reached out to Nova Arc for editing services because she had previously collaborated with our team on other healthcare magazines on topics such as critical care nursing.
The Process
Nova Arc provides a variety of editing services to ISPE, from development to publication. We also act as an extension of ISPE’s internal team and handle internal process management for file upload and sharing and for author feedback and revisions. We helped build a style guide and elevated and standardized the magazine’s editorial workflow, including author file prep, upload, feedback and comments, integrating peer review comments into articles, and downloading and processing all proofs for preprint runs.
